چکیده

In this paper author discussed PI and fuzzy controllers with the three phase inverter concept and this converter connected to induction motor drive as load. This presents a unified control strategy that enables both islanded and grid-tied operations of three-phase inverter in distributed generation, with no need for switching between two corresponding controllers or critical islanding detection. Intentional islanding describes the condition in which a microgrid or a portion of the power grid, which consists of a load and a distributed generation (DG) system, is isolated from the remainder of the utility system. When the microgrid is cut off from the main grid, each DG inverter system must detect this islanding situation and must switch to a voltage control mode. The control strategy composes of an inner inductor current loop, and a novel voltage loop in the synchronous reference frame. Induction motor is one of the load in grid. The inverter is regulated as a current source just by the inner inductor current loop in grid-tied operation, and the voltage controller is automatically activated to regulate the load voltage upon the occurrence of islanding. This paper mainly depends on PI and fuzzy controller by using fuzzy controller to improve the power quality compare to PI controller. The proposed converter tested with Matlab/simulink software.

A FUZZY-BASED SPEED CONTROLLER FOR IMPROVEMENT OF INDUCTION MOTOR'S DRIVE PERFORMANCE

Induction motors (IMs) are widely used in many industrial applications due to their robustness, low cost, simplicity and relative good efficiency. One of the major considerations for IMs is their speed control. PI (proportional-integrator) controllers are usually used as speed controller. Adjusting the gain of PI controller is time-consuming which needs thorough considerations. Hence, fuzzy con...

Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation with Reduced Common Mode Voltage and Current Losses for Six-Phase Induction Motor Drive with Three-Level Inverter

Common-mode voltage (CMV) generated by the inverter causes motor bearing failures in multiphase drives. On the other hand, presence of undesired z-component currents in six-phase induction machine (SPIM) leads to extra current losses and have to be considered in pulse width modulation (PWM) techniques. In this paper, it is shown that the presence of z-component currents and CMV in six phase driv...
